During March, I interviewed writers and "reluctant writers" for my Writers Project. Before I started writing, I found Kim Presnel. We appeared on the same google search. So, I checked out her site. Fascinating.
Kim calls herself the Inadvertent Farmer; she lives in Washington State with her husband and five children... and rare animals.
Kim is also a really good photographer and writer. In honor of Kim's site (and my recent Vineman Triathlon post), I included my own photos of an organic farm in Sonoma County.

Since Kim already answered my questions, I am posting her responses below. I request that you visit her site.
From Kim,
Why do I write?
Well the short answer would be that I have a husband and four sons and way too many words for those men to absorb and process in one day so my blog is my outlet...a depository of sorts for my otherwise ignored words!
I also use my very photo heavy site as a way of chronicling our lives here on the farm. I have no time or patience for scrapbooking so this is perfect.
What inspires me?
Kids, color, gardens, flowers, crafts, fabric...my camel.
What motivates me?
At first it was my need to chronicle our lives...but it has evolved into a way for me to touch other people. My blog has a bigger audience than I ever imagined it would and I am now quite motivated to put up posts that are not only fun but useful. Whether that be with a craft you can share with your kids, why you should visit your local humane society or ten reasons you should plant your own garden. My readers are a HUGE motivation to me!
How do I get past writer's block?
Well honestly after nearly 1.5 years of blogging usually 7 days a week I have never had writers block (again the excess word issue I told you about) but if I did I would just have to look through some of my 1000's of photos and I know that something would jump out of them for me to write about.
If that didn't work I would just eaves drop on one or more of my 5 kids and surely there would be something funny...or embarrassing...to share!
